Scouts, Camping & RVing Club Rallies and Family Reunions are welcome at Sweetwater Forest, subject to review by management, and agreement from all approved groups, noise at night. Our secluded group sites are perfectly suited for larger families, & clubs with most situated away from other campsites and with plenty of natural privacy screening between all. All Rally Groups must adhere to Camp Rules, including those requiring no noise after 9 PM. Rally & Reunion Requests |
More secluded than most sites, our larger group sites, most with electric and water hookups on them, share extra long driveways, which help keep any noise from bothering other campers. Most sites for group feature camp sites set in semi-circles, to best accommodates family camping reunions & other off-season Club Rallies. Allowing all to enjoy a quiet, peaceful night is important to us, and strictly enforced. To the left is a fantastic site for Scouts & Families, which is located in A-Area, with a long driveway to the sites, well road that runs above site shown. |
Tent Campers to Big Rig RVers are offered a wide range of modern amenities, conveniences, services and recreational facilities from which to choose at Sweetwater Forest. Wherever possible, areas of high traffic, including our Main Office Complex, Camp Store, Miniature Golf, most other recreational Facilities and the Dog Day Kennel are situated well away from our camp sites to better insure pleasant days, peaceful nights and overall enjoyable camping experiences for all who camp with us. |

A limited number of double & group sites are available for families & friends with campers & RVs who enjoy camping together. Most of our Double and Group Sites feature individual sites with their own hookups, set next to each other, or in semi-circle. |
These recent aerial photos show much of Sweetwater Forest, in the darker oval in the photo to the left, while the above photo is labeled with features at Sweetwater, with Sheeps & Long Pond, and other features that may be familiar to the Cape's Camping Enthusiasts. About a third of the campground, (most of C-Area) located to the far left was not caught in the shot above. This clearly adds real meaning to "not seeing Sweetwater Forest through the trees!" Sweetwater's Main Road, called Whittlesbee Lane on some old maps of Brewster, is visible in places to the right of the "camper" shown heading into Sweetwater. The Entrance exits from Rte.124, at 676 Harwich Road, winds its way away from the noise and bustle of busy Cape Cod's road traffic and into the tranquil, peaceful woodlands known as Sweetwater Forest, which Cape Cod Campers have enjoyed as their vacation destination since 1958-whether for the weekend-or the season. Sweetwater's lake shore on Griffith's Pond is shown on the bottom right of the oval, beneath our "retired" cranberry bog-the lighter green area-which is a wonderful habitat for a variety of native wildlife. Lily pads and a variety of amphibians share some of the shore to the right of the oval. Also visible is Sweetwater Farms, Appaloosa horse breeding farm and the Home & Birthplace of Multiple World & National Champions. Brewster's 9 beautiful Public Beaches, well maintained by the Town of Brewster, consist of 7 diverse beaches along the gentle shores of Cape Cod Bay less than a mile from Sweetwater Forest, with two additional Brewster Town beaches located are on beautiful Freshwater Lakes, Sheeps Pond & Long Pond, each with Sandy Beaches, clean water and Boat Ramps, not quite 1/4 mile from Sweetwater Forest, with easy Bike Trail access to both! On the upper left of the photo is Sheeps Pond, well stocked for fishing (3HP Limit on Boat Motors) with crystal water, and easily accessed by the Rail Trail, only a 10th of a mile from Sweetwater. Long Pond, shown at the top is a water lover's paradise. Extending two towns, there is no limit on boat HP, making it a water skiing, tubing, swimming, and fishing paradise. Brewster's Public Beach at Long Pond features a roped off swimming area, with a Life Guard on duty during the summer days. Long Pond is also easily accessible via the Cape Cod Rail Trail, and is about 2/10th of a mile from Sweetwater Forest. In Brewster one beach sticker is good for all 9 beaches. We believe Brewster is the Heart of Cape Cod in ways that go beyond its central Cape Cod location. Experience Brewster on Cape Cod and let our beautiful Town help you decide for yourself! |
